So I painted this - a playful lively street scene in Central America.

"The Lord is my shepherd" - a project from my church in which anyone who liked was allowed to paint or write while I was creating the scene. Writing was the easier way for most of the participants. 😉

A test painting for comparison: Calculating my resources - How much paint do I really need, how little is enough?
I painted half of this piece with a certain color palette: reduced paint selection and calculated quantities. With this palette of colors I could have finished any painting (which fits my style) without not having enough! If this works perfectly, I could go on a trip, pack paint for exactly 4-5 square meters of 'painting' and then return with empty tubes. .

MUD – When I was in Israel at the Dead Sea, I met a group of adults at this event. They smeared every empty area of skin on their bodies with the healthy salty mud of the Dead Sea. It seems like a ceremony, like one from the Bible, where priests used to smear the temples with blood to sanctify them. But back to the topic, these individuals only follow the trend of the Dead Sea and its salty minerals. .

Seek peace and pursue it (2) - A girl comes across a flower meadow while playing outside. She discovers a very pure white flower, which stands out clearly, and desperately wants to take it home. Quickly she gets her brother, who gives her a leg-up, that she can just reach for the longed-for plant. With this flower, they can certainly compensate for their parents for all the trouble, for which they were once sent out to play.
“Seek peace and pursue it” (Ps. 34,15) – is the bible verse of this year and this is my second painting I converted it into. .

Seek peace and pursue it (1) - A boy is curious about a gleam of light that can be seen at the top of a wall. He thinks carefully and quickly gathers all the everyday objects from the area to build a tower. But he probably failed and fell down a few times until he finally got to the top to look over the wall. All his curiosity and fascination encouraged him to take all the effort, again and again. And it was really worth it, because he encountered peace.
“Seek peace and pursue it” (Ps. 34,15) – is the bible verse of this year and I converted it into this painting. It’s used for a flag, printed in 9 by 3 meters and hanging down a church steeple the whole year (more on my website: news). .
